METISS (MElting poT Indianoceanic Submarine System) cable entered into service on March 5, 2021 as the country’s third active submarine telecommunication cable. CEB FIBERNET is a co-owner of the cable system which connects Mauritius to Reunion, Madagascar and mainland Africa. METISS is 3200 km long and is designed to offer a capacity of 24 Terabits per second to serve the country for the next 25 years.
